My Finances separates cash, debt, transfers, investments and market movement so the dashboard remains useful without blurring fundamentally different kinds of money.

The app does not operate a developer-controlled finance server. Features that leave the device are separated so you can understand and choose each one.
On your device
Room-backed financial records, preferences, generated reports, receipt and statement extraction, deterministic calculations, and downloaded local AI models remain on the Android device.
In your Google account
If you connect Google, My Finances can create and manage its own Sheets workbook and Drive folders for structured synchronization, backups, reports and originals you explicitly upload.
With an AI provider
Cloud AI is off by default. If you add your own provider credential and select that provider, assistant requests and limited relevant context go directly to that provider under its terms.
Optional Google connection
Why Google access may be requested
Google is used only after you choose to connect it. The app requests basic account identity and the narrow drive.file permission—not unrestricted access to your Drive.
- Confirm the connected account. The app reads the selected account’s basic name, email address and stable Google identifier so it can show which account is connected.
- Synchronize readable records. The app creates or reuses a private My Finances workbook and uses stable IDs, validation and an explicit review for conflicting Sheet edits.
- Create recovery copies. Manual and limited automatic backup packages are stored in app-created Drive folders. Packages contain financial records and metadata, not cloud-AI keys or local model files.
- Store originals only on request. A receipt or statement original stays local unless you explicitly choose its Drive upload action.
- Disconnect without deleting your files. Disconnecting revokes the app’s access and clears local connection metadata; existing Sheets and Drive files remain in your Google account for you to manage.
Practical privacy controls
Useful with no account and no model
Accounts, transactions, plans, investments, document extraction and deterministic reports work without connecting Google or an online AI provider.
- On-device document processing. Receipt photos and scanned PDFs use on-device text recognition and local parsing. Results are suggestions until approved.
- Optional local models. Model weights are not bundled with the app. You choose whether to download a compatible model; downloaded files are integrity-checked and removable.
- Approval before financial writes. AI can interpret a request, but the exact-cent ledger and validation rules remain authoritative.
- Explicit export and recovery. Create portable backup packages or standalone HTML reports when you choose. Android system backup is disabled for app financial data.
Important: My Finances is an organization and tracking tool. It does not connect to banks, move money, or provide professional financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice. Forecasts, category suggestions, registered-account room and AI responses can be incomplete or wrong and should be independently reviewed.
